Description

This narrower syllabus can be coached in just one day, and you will still meet your regulatory requirements. Covers first aid protocols for adult casualties only.

Location & Time:

The Ambulance Station, Alderney 9:00am – 4:00pm

Course content:

➢ The role of the first aider
➢ Communication and casualty care
➢ Basic defibrillator training
➢ Bleeding
➢ Choking
➢ Minor burns
➢ Minor injuries
➢ Resuscitation
➢ Seizures
➢ Shock
➢ Treatment of an unresponsive casualty

Assessment:

Continuous observation by the trainer.

Certification:

Successful candidates receive a St John Ambulance certificate, valid for three years.
