Frequently asked questions

What is Online Learning?

Online Learning is a resource to help aid your skill retention through short interactive modules, mini courses and activities.

It also includes online modules that must be completed (as part of our blended online training courses) before you attend the second part of the courses in person at one of our training venues.

Do I need anything special to use it?

All you need is an internet connection and a suitable device to gain access in order to begin learning and refreshing your first aid skills.

I have forgotten my username or password

You can reset your password using this link where you can reset your account using your username or email address.

Why does the course completion still say not started, even though I have completed the course?

There’s sometimes a delay in the system updating results, try logging off and logging back on again.

What if my course is relocated, rescheduled, or cancelled by St John?

We make every effort to avoid this happening, but occasionally it is necessary. This is why it is vitally important for us to have your current telephone number and email address, so that we are able to notify you as soon as possible. If the change is not acceptable to you, we will attempt to book you on to a more suitable course date or provide you with a full refund. Cancellations made by the candidate will be subject to our normal Terms & Conditions.

If I can no longer attend a course, can I get a refund?

In accordance with our Terms & Conditions, we only offer a refund if your course is cancelled by St John. Circumstances such as illness, work commitments, or leaving the island are not considered for refunds.

Can I give my place to a friend/colleague?

Yes.

When do I need to pay for my course?

At the time of booking, unless a prior arrangement has been made to pay by Bank Transfer.

When will I receive my certificate?

Provided all course fees and any additional charges have been received in full, certificates are issued via email, in PDF format, once the course has been successfully completed – usually within 1-2 working days.

How do I receive my online course completion confirmation?

Your online course completion confirmation will automatically generate once you have completed all the required modules for online courses. It will appear in your Dashboard where it can be downloaded and saved as required. It will also be emailed to you.

My course completion confirmation is not generating

Make sure you have completed all the required modules/ activities of the course, once a section is completed a green tick will appear next to that module/activity. Also ensure that the correct email address is recorded on your profile.

Once the online sections are fully completed an online completion confirmation will be emailed to you at the email address we hold on your profile.  The online completion confirmation is not a full official qualification, therefore may not have a completion date noted on it.
The certificate for the course will be issued once the face to face session has been successfully completed and this will have the date on it.
