Course content:
➢ The role of the first aider
➢ Communication and casualty care
➢ Recovery position in a confined space
➢ CPR
➢ Drowning protocol
➢ Cold shock and hypothermia from immersion and/or exposure
➢ Seasickness and dehydration
➢ Chest pains
➢ Seizures
➢ Burns
➢ Bleeds
Assessment:
Continuous observation by the trainer.
Certification:
Successful candidates receive a RYA certificate, valid for three years.
